Why is going with the Moto Lab lowering kits the best and safest option to lower your bike?

All of our Moto Lab Lowering kits are engineered and machined right here in the US. All kits lower your bike internally by limiting the return travel. Lowering your bike is always a NON permanent modification and can be returned back to stock at any time. All of our kits are internal and are either a fixed rebound disc, or a floating machined spacer that follow the shock shaft. What that means is even if you shock seal fails, the part will not come out of place and potentially grenade your shock body!

Your bike is unlikely “stink bug” with the rear end high. With the proper spring rates and correct static, and rider sag, it should sit correctly.

We suggest lowering in equal increments both front and rear. Yes, there are exceptions, there always are. However, for 99%, stick with equal amounts of lowering both front and rear. If you’re considering lowering the bike via “other” methods that involve hiking the forks up in the triple clamp, relocating the shock bolt center line, or sketchy external “drop in” lowering devices, this is NOT a good idea. Why, you might ask? Keep in mind you are greatly compromising the bikes handling by creating very ill geometry off sets that will make the bike handle poor, potentially even dangerous at speed. It is important to maintain those stock mounting locations to retain predictable, reliable, comfortable handling of your bike!
